A strong back is a good foundation in climbing. It helps you carry your own weight – especially on steep walls or when doing moves that require a lot of power. Using a pull up bar ( a specially made apparatus that is nailed on an overhang on a wall or above a doorway), one grips the bar (with hands about shoulder width or slightly wider), pull yourself up, then lower yourself down. A beginner needs the help of a spotter, to hold his feet and help push him up to the top of the bar. Mountain or rock climbing is being one with nature, an experience worthy of a wireless security camera.
