Why I Looked To “Build”

feature photo

I wasn’t really into body building until two years ago when a close friend of mine invited to the gym. At first, I thought that gym buffs look ridiculous with their overly sized biceps and almost abnormal looking torso. That was back then, I am a transformed man now.

I’m not exactly sure what brought about the change in my perception. All I could remember was that my first trip to the gym didn’t become my last. My visits to the health gym became frequent. In the beginning, I had a once week session. Eventually, it became twice per week and then thrice. I even bought a one-year subscription after two month of repeating my routine.

I guess you shouldn’t really judge people by their cover. More than anything else, I gained a sense of well being from body building – which is one thing that I desperately needed because of all the stress I’ve been experiencing at work.

  1. When you feel healthy, you will surely feel good about yourself. That’s building confidence too.

  2. Sometime stress has a way of embedding themselves into our muscles, or so I would like to believe. A regular gym visit releases those stress away by pumping those muscles. There is that light feeling after every program and yes as you said a sense of well being.

  3. Love to see a man who is not so muscular. Just like to those who are body builder. It’s ugly to look at those who has a very big muscles.

  4. I just can’t imagine how this rat carry this heavy thing.
